My name is Ketty Dessin ,I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and later moved to New York. I am fluent in Haitian Creole, English, and French, which allows me to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I have a strong background in health services and patient care. Through this experience, I developed compassion, patience, and strong communication skills while assisting individuals with their needs. I also helped bridge language barriers by translating between Haitian Creole and English for Haitian patients who needed help understanding important medical information.

I have pursued higher education in several fields. I earned a degree in Health Science from Queensborough Community College and later completed a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Monroe College. I also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Grand Canyon University and I am currently continuing my education in Nursing at Long Island University.

My interest in interpretation began in a multilingual church community, where I regularly translated messages from Haitian Creole into English so that everyone could understand. This experience helped me discover my passion for interpretation and for supporting communication between people who speak different languages.

Later, I became involved in professional interpretation services through PYOM Entreprises, where I assist clients by providing accurate interpretation between Haitian Creole and English during important conversations, including immigration-related interviews.

As an interpreter, I am committed to professionalism, patience, and respect. My goal is to help individuals feel comfortable, understood, and confident while communicating in important situations.
